Senior Business Development Manager Autonomous Stores

As part of our broader Autonomous Stores strategy, we build a team to capitalize on a great opportunity in this space. We are looking for a self-starter to take on this challenge with the full support, resources and funding of Valora Digital behind them. As our Senior Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for all sales aspects of growing this venture successfully, including identifying and venturing into new markets, scaling our customer acquisition competencies and owning our acquisition funnels, channels and strategy. Key tasks and responsibilities

  • Actively listen and read the customers needs, wants, pains and jobs-to-be-done between the lines
  • Analyse market potential and validate opportunities
  • Own our customer acquisition and retention funnels on- and offline from A(wareness) to Z(ombie customers)
  • Scale our (B2B) customer acquisition competences
  • Actively scout, qualify and onboard potential new customers and partners
  • As a member of the autonomous stores team, you will translate customer feedback into potential product improvements and are a vital part of the product development cycle
  • As a member of the customer acquisition team, you will also be involved in generating ideas and implementing marketing campaigns

Key skills / requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience growing startups, tech companies or consulting
  • Ability to quickly absorb technical concepts and communicate them to a non-technical audience
  • Sees it as their mission to acquire customers, foster and maintain relationships
  • Empathy for customers and intuition for finding solutions that solve their needs
  • Experience in pitching products to potential customers or investors
  • Ability to think outside the box / envision a world different from the status quo
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and delivering measurable results
  • Proven negotiating skills, business judgement and advocacy abilities
  • High attention to detail, flexibility and willingness to be resourceful in getting things done
  • Able to negotiate tender proceedings, contract terms with clients and close deals
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent (negotiation ready) spoken and written communication skills in German and English. Additional languages are a plus
